CNAME Records in Cloud Hosting
If you have a cloud hosting plan through our company and you would like to set up a CNAME record, it will take you just a few mouse clicks to do it. You can access the DNS records for all domain addresses and subdomains hosted inside your account via the Hepsia Control Panel included with each plan and adding a new record is as basic as clicking on a button, selecting the type, that will be CNAME in this case, typing the actual record value and saving the modification. In case you have never added such a record before, you will discover a Help section with a detailed video tutorial you can watch, or you can just contact us and we will help you with this task. If you have created a website using another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you would like to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, for example Google Apps, all it takes is creating a CNAME record with a few clicks in your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and you would like to create a CNAME record, it will require just a couple of mouse clicks to complete this task. The plans are handled using our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel where you will see a section dedicated to the DNS records of the domain addresses and subdomains hosted inside the account. To set up a CNAME record, you will simply have to pick the record type and the hostname (domain or subdomain), input where the latter will be forwarded to and save the modification. The new record will be active almost right away in our system and will propagate worldwide within several hours. Modifying or deleting an existing CNAME record within the account is just as easy and takes a click. In case you experience any issues, you can go through our comprehensive help article, see the short video on the topic that we have added in the CP, or simply contact us for help.
